Tournament Variations.

'Best Ball'
Just like it sounds, either 2 man or 4 man teams.
Each hits a ball, you all play from the 'best' ball location.
You only turn in a single score card.

'Alternate Shot'
Usually 2 man team. You both tee off.
You start from the 'best' ball drive
and then each alternates hitting subsequent shots.
Example: On a Par 5.  After both teeing off, and selecting the 'best ball' --
if you par the hole, each player will only have hit the ball twice.

'Yellow Ball'
This is a variation of 'Best Ball'.
Each team is given a yellow ball at the start of the tourney.
Each team member plays the yellow ball on alternating holes.
If the ball survives the round (you didn't loose it).
Then you are eligible to win and you  submit your score card.

'3 Club'
Another version of 'Best Ball'
where each player carries there own putter, but share just 3 clubs.
4 person team, one bag, 3 clubs and 4 putters.

'Scramble'
A 'scramble' simply means that all teams tee off at the same time,
each starting on a different hole.
so if you started on #10, you'd finish the round on #9
